long time

Dear Readers, It’s been a long time since I posted and I have been missing you.  I hope you have been well.

Something that caught my eye in the paper was the use of cellulose to thicken commercially made foods now that rice and corn and wheat are becoming more costly. Lowfat yogurt is one food (or should we say “food?”) that contains cellulose.

Another is the danger from fragrances. They aren’t regulated (I’m not advocating more regulations) but the one word on the product — lemon, citrus, fresh — might denote one ingredient while there can be more than 100 other chemicals that make up that scent. That’s probably why it’s easy to choke when you walk through the supermarket aisle with detergents and cleaning products. We pollute our own air with these sprays and smells.

I hope spring is as lovely where you are as it is here.
