i was always such a good girl…

…that I didn’t learn what all bad boys know: most mistakes can be corrected or forgiven. Comedian Dottie Casper’s comment about growing up as a good girl rang a bell for me. It’s good to be good, but there’s a disadvantage — you don’t experience the freedom and confidence that come from learning that most mistakes can be corrected and you can get over and past them. How can you be daring when you fear the slightest misstep? How can you discover how far you can go if you are worried about the next move? So here’s to Dottie! Thanks for being an inspiration.
